8 Principles of the Dasi-Ziyad Family Institute

  1. Marriage education, which means relationship skill-building, is needed across all cultural, racial, religious and socioeconomic lines.
  2. Our services are rooted in the realization that a holistic approach, which takes into account the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of a person, is the best approach to effective healing of individuals, couples and families.
  3. Our clients receive our personal commitment and a strong sense of caring.
  4. We provide services as husband and wife teams, often with the assistance of other professionals.
  5. We request our clients and workshop/seminar participants to envision their healthy marriages and their healthy families as part of a bigger mission to strengthen society.
  6. We invite our couples to work sincerely and seriously for a joyous, magnanimous relationship and later return some of their experience and joy to others by becoming “mentor couples.”
  7. The couples, individuals and families we work with will become empowered with the tools necessary to build and maintain healthy, successful relationships.
  8. We view each person as having value and something on which to build.
